At the invitation of Oleksandr Shlyakhovsky, Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv Oblast, employees of the State Institution "MIA of Ukraine TMA in Lviv Oblast" took part in a conference call with the management of the National Police in Lviv Oblast on the topic of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 and the importance of vaccination. The head of the polyclinic, Yevhen Kuzyk, and the acting head of the Center for Preventive Medicine, Iryna Kulish, of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast", spoke about the symptoms, dynamics of COVID-19, as well as the place of vaccination in the prevention and spread of COVID-19, the effect of the vaccine and the benefits of vaccination.
"According to the roadmap for vaccination against COVID-19, employees of such state security agencies as the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, and the State Border Guard Service belong to the priority group. To ensure the quality of the vaccination campaign, five teams have been set up to provide vaccinations to all employees of these priority groups both at medical facilities and outside of them in a mobile mode. As of today, about 550 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19. We invite everyone to join the vaccination," said Yevhen Kuzyk, head of the clinic, at the meeting, adding that vaccination is the only way to stop the spread of coronavirus disease today.
"We have two vaccines available for vaccination: AstraZeneca, which was developed by the University of Oxford in cooperation with the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca, and Coronavac, developed by the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech. Both vaccines are effective and are approved for use in the European Union and many other countries around the world. All healthcare workers who provide vaccinations and are part of mobile medical teams have undergone appropriate training, education and received certificates," said Iryna Kulish, acting head of the Center for Preventive Medicine.
